Thursday, October 5, 2006 Nailbat Begins #01 It's the beginning of the beginning. This strip much like the first strip of AntiBunny exists to establish a mood for the whole thing. I'd like to point out (as I already did on the forum) that this story actually takes place just under one year before the first AntiBunny strip, so you may see some familliar characters pop up without all the baggage that their misadventures up to this point bring. The first three panels are my own version of a scene in another keenspace comic "LightBringer". A comic that while the art isn't so great, has some well thought out writing. I decided to give his character a cameo and a bit of homage. If you'd like to check it out you can find it at http://lightbringer.comicgen.com . I hope you don't mind the heavy naration. Since this side story will play out more like a DC comic you'll see a lot of first person narative. I've also switched fonts for Nailbat Begins, going back to good old Comic Sans. Yet again I wanted to give a comic book style to the story. For the AntiBunny main story I'll stick to the more destinctive decomposing Roman font. In any event, I hope you enjoy my little experiment. If you don't like it then the regular AntiBunny story will go up on monday and you can read that instead.
