Thursday, February 29, 2007 Nailbat Begins #21 At long last the introduction of Furi. He will be serving as Nailbat's primary antagonist throughout the story. I do hope you like him because moving the story up to his introduction as well as just getting a solid design proved difficult. This is of course the final version, combining the red eyes, mummy wrapping, and coat and hat combo that looks like something from the 50's. I've tried a number of other designs, including no costume at all, and a generic masked villain, but around the time I decided that his guns should be Walther P-38s I decided his look should be from the same time period. As for why I went with walthers. I had a refference on hand in my Generation 1 Megatron. Somehow it all meshed. You'll also notice the different word baloons for Furi. I wanted to imply that his voice sounds artificial and is clearly being masked. That's about all for this week. Keep coming back because there's one mother of a fight scene coming up.
