Thursday, May 3, 2007 Nailbat Begins #30 This strip is important. It shows that the speciesist hate between humans and rabbits runs both ways. Rabbits because of their culture hide it better than humans, but here you can see even someone like Nailbat who to some degree likes humans, has the same frustrations built up in him. But what was that string of gibberish he spit out? That's more rabbit profanity. Fnard you know. Slild means "Stinks like a fox" simply enough. Pnakt is more complex. It's an anti-human racial slur roughly meaning "without fur." However rabbits wouldn't use it to describe any other furless animal, it's strictly humans. To rabbits it's extremely vulgar and offensive. You won't see it often because most rabbits just won't say it unless they're very very angry. Return to ARCHIVE | |||||
