Thursday, June 7, 2007 Nailbat Begins #35 So I changed art styles again. I switched out to ink brushes for this one, thus the drasticly different look. I think the very dark look helps convey the dark theme of the strip. Some of you may have cought the linguistic Death of Superman refference here, with Ubermensch and Gotterdamerung. I think every world must have a Sups esque character and here it's Ubermensch. Unfortunately he's not in the present day, leaving it to the less powerful heroes to take on his burden. I didn't however want to make Ubermensch a total Superman knockoff. THe obvious difference is he has totally different powers, making use of tremendous psychic abillities, which he can turn into a form of energy called Psi. Additionally He's not an alien, but I'll save the origin for another time. He's more important as a part of the history than as an actual character after all. Return to ARCHIVE | |||||
