Thursday, July 19, 2007 Nailbat Begins #41 Okay after the craptacular art of last week I resolved to really pour myself into this one. Thankfully Don Bluth's masterpiece "The Secret of NIMH" just got a 2 disc collector's edition DVD release which I readilly snapped up. It always inspires me and seeing the cleaned up visuals and admiring all the wonderful Norman Rockwellesque, hand paitned backgrounds, I had as they say "A fire lit under me." and I think it shows here. I'll do my best not to slouch on the art in the future. But you're probably asking me, why the comic is so frigging huge. A fair question. I've upsized the comic from 800 to 1000 pixels wide. I realize this is hard on dialup people and I am one of those dialup people, but it's a weekly comic after all so I don't think I'm asking too much here. If your screen is being stretched I'd recomend changing your monitor to at least 1024px wide I have mine at 1200px, and at that you should be able to see the whole site without any horizontal scrolling. I'll make some efforts to lessen the size of the sidebar to acomodate smaller resolutions, but if you're still running 800x600, you're running behind the times. Okay the art stuff is all fine and dandy, but you're sure to be thinking. "WTF?" with that last panel. Well a proper explanation comes next week. Wouldn't be a cliffhanger if I told you.
