Thursday, September 20, 2007 Nailbat Begins #50: The End And that is the big finale of Nailbat Begins. But Nailbat will return. After a bit of a break from the Nailbat story, He'll be back in Nailbat Returns. If you haven't figured it out by now. "Believe in Heroes" is the tagline of Nailbat. If you recall "I used to believe in heroes" was the last line of the very first Nailbat comic, when this started just short of a year ago. With this page I'm also retiring the ink and pencil art style and going over to a pure ink brush style, which you've already seen during the primary AntiBunny story. In the meantime I'll be posting up some sketches, random things, and other such stuff to keep the thursday updates going. Nailbat Begins was a fun ride. It gave me challenges, and a chance to improve drawing action scenes, and gave me a chance to do my own hero's story. When I first started this little project I wasn't sure if I might alienate readers, with a Super Hero story in what is otherwise a life comic. The response though seems to be very positive. That's good since later you'll see more fantastical things in AntiBunny, so maybe Nailbat is a good way to get the audience used to these things before I bring in some of these elements into the main story.
